An important part of Gaada involves sharing our specialist skills with our island communities. To date we have run many specialist printmaking workshops, focusing on risograph and screen printing processes.
Currently we are working hard to develop our facilities + space with the aim of becoming a fully-accessible creative workshop facility for Shetland. Have a look below at the range of ways to work with us!
We regularly run public group workshops where you can learn introductory and advanced techniques in various printmaking processes to make artist books, colour separated posters, printed textiles and much more. Check the list above for information on how to book onto our upcoming workshops!
In addition to our regular public workshops listed above, we also develop bespoke private workshops for groups with specific requirements. In the past we have produced workshops for a range of abilities and ages (from 5 to 85!) so if you would like to find out more the please get in touch + we’ll be happy to discuss!
We are passionate about reducing barriers to high quality, creative development for the growing community of artists that exist in Shetland. Through Artist One to Ones, individuals can now regularly access the skills + resources of the Gaada studio.
Artist One-to-Ones are open to everyone: whether you are neurodiverse or neurotypical, living with a disability or without. So if you have a creative idea or skill you would like to develop, do not hesitate to get in touch + we’ll be happy to help!
