Calling the comic curious!

Gaada is excited to welcome visiting artist Esther McManus for an all-day comic workshop.

In this workshop you will explore comic-making and storytelling, working towards a collaborative publication we will Riso print and bind together.

No experience needed! You’ll be led through the whole process from designing your comic, through the Riso printing process, and collating and binding the pages together to finish!

Who is it for?

This workshop is for adults (18+) and there are 10 spaces available.

Hot drinks and light refreshments will be available throughout the day but bring a packed lunch.

Esther McManus is a comics artist and educator whose work examines print's historical role in the production and distribution of knowledge. Her comics explore personal & collective relationships to history and are often informed by archival research and a background in silkscreen and Risograph printing.
