Gaada rejoices as Scotland’s world-renowned biennial festival of contemporary art announces appointment of our non-executive director Helen Nisbet, as their new Festival Director!

A new publication which, for the first time, brings together the life project of late Shetland Botanist Walter Scott in printed form! We’ve taken the occasion to explain the origin of this work, it’s purpose, but also the legacy and impact of Walter’s Shetland By Numbers.

Belladonna Paloma, Rabindranath X Bhose and Oren Shoesmith were commissioned last year to develop designs for new artist works which will be incorporated into Gaada’s redeveloped building. In their own words, the artists here describe working on the project.
