Island Zine Library
Toogs Artist Workshop maintains an impressive collection of over 500 artist-made publications across many different formats including zines, pamphlets, chapbooks, newspapers, and books. The Island Zine Library provides artists with a unique and inspiring resource to encounter rare and out of print publications.
In addition to the plethora of artist-made publications – the library also includes an excellent collection of reference books that cover a wide range of technical creative processes, as well as some special visual reference on diverse subjects.
The physical library is a bespoke Zig-Zag moveable unit found within the Workshop. The library was designed by Gaada co-founder Daniel Clark and constructed by local joiner Neil Pottinger, with support of the Highlands and Islands Enterprise in 2022.
