Dive into the vibrant world of RISO printing in this hands-on workshop focusing on the tactile joy of creating art with RISO. Unlike digital printing, this workshop celebrates the craft of manual, analogue techniques.

Workshop Outline

After a brief introduction to the RISO duplicator, we will do some quick drawing exercises outside (weather permitting) gathering sketches, textures and inspiration from the beautiful landscape surrounding Toogs Artist Workshop.

Back in the studio, exploring layers texture and vibrant colour combinations, you will create your own edition of 2 colour A3 RISO prints!

What to expect

Unlike digital printing, this workshop celebrates the craft of manual, analogue techniques. You'll use the integrated flatbed scanner to transform your handmade creations into print-ready designs right on the machine—no digital artwork preparation needed!

Each session is led by two experienced Gaada printmakers who will guide you through every step, from drawing exercises, creating your image to getting to grips with the equipment and printing your final 2 colour edition.

This session also acts as an induction to the RISO area of the Workshop, which enables you to continue learning through Open Access Sessions at the Toogs Artist Workshop.

Weather permitting, we will spend some time drawing outside during this workshop.

Who is it for?

This workshop is anyone over 18, no previous experience is required.
