Toogs Artist Workshop
An Artist-Led Workshop for Printmaking, Book Arts + Ceramics in Shetland
Toogs Artist Workshop is an independent, artist-led space located on the Westside of Shetland. We support visual artists, makers, and creative communities through access to professional facilities in printmaking, book arts and ceramics.
Rooted in the Shetland landscape and dialect, our name Toogs comes from the local word for a grassy mound — and is also found in mooratoogs, meaning ant hill — a fitting metaphor for our lively, collaborative spirit.
Whether you’re a visiting artist, a local creative, or someone curious to learn a new skill, Toogs offers workshops, open access, residencies, and a space for making.
What We Offer
Explore our facilities in relief, screen, and risograph printmaking, alongside a growing ceramics and papermaking programme.
Where We Are
