Checkpoint by Bryan Mouat

Checkpoint by Bryan Mouat will be exhibited in Display from 19 November - 30 January.

"You've reached the standing stone. What would you like to do?"

Bryan Mouat (he/him) is an artist and designer from Shetland who currently studies at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen.

Checkpoint is an exploration between virtual and physical landscapes, focusing on Shetland's standing stones. Unchanged through centuries, standing stones stand strong and stoic, acting as a beacon of hope for those who are lost.

Bryan was a 2020/21 Workshop Bursary recipient, and made these riso prints during his time at the Gaada workshop. Read more here.

Gaada welcomes visitors to view the current Display within the gravelled area outside the building, however we politely request that visitors do not enter the building without prior appointment.

This project was funded by the Shetland Charitable Trust
