Display by Struan Haswell

I will not give up on a list of things I like to stay the same without ending by Struan Haswell is the next exhibition on at Display. The exhibition opens on the 14th May and will run until the 13th June.

The drawings, text works and badges on show have been created and curated by Struan and explore themes of camouflage occurring both in the human and natural world. The collection of hand-made badges contain statements and imagery which further draw us into his hopeful and creative world.

A central part of Struan’s artistic process involves the creation of lists, which gather points of personal interest and intrigue, and are often later developed into pen drawings or prints on paper. Struan’s use of minimalist line and compartmentalised colour, creates complex camouflage compositions that use every inch of the available paper.

The systems and processes within Struan’s practice have create a visually striking exhibition, topped off with a camouFLAGe inspired Flamingo flag which will be proudly flying during Gaada’s weekday opening hours!
