Scotland's Art Opens Up

Gaada has been mentioned alongside some of Scotland’s leading art organisations in an article published today by The Scotsman.

In the article Moira Jeffrey, director of the Scottish Contemporary Art Network (SCAN), celebrates how Scotland’s Art is once again Opening Up with the latest easing of restrictions and reminds us of the important role art organisations have in community and wellbeing:

“As art unlocks its doors across the land, we know it also unlocks potential, new ideas, health and wellbeing and investment in our communities. Art can make you feel good, or help you approach what makes you feel bad. It provides neighbourhoods with shared public space, and public debate when often the alternative is privatisation and profit.”

Gaada is a proud and active member of SCAN, who have been an immense support to our growing Shetland based art organisation over the past few years through their fantastic advice and advocacy.
