Artist Talk: Rosanna Martin

Join us online for Gaada’s next talk by Rosanna Martin, a Cornwall based ceramic artist and founder of experimental brick-making project Brickfield.

Rosanna‘s practice explores the relationships between landscape, people and materiality through sculpture, participatory projects and events. Altered topographies, objects and marks left on the land by human activity, as evidenced in the reshaping and replacing of geological and manmade material, evoke intrigue and act as starting points for artworks.

Brickfield is an ongoing project which explores how anthropology and materiality are intertwined through the practice of brickmaking. Rosanna has been working alongside the local community of St Austell in Cornwall, by hosting fieldtrips centred around geology. The aim of the workshops is to help establish new contemporary approaches to brick making, and to connect individuals to their local landscape.

Join us for an artist talk on June 3 @ 11am to hear more about Rosanna and her practice.
Tickets are free, but booking is essential (via link below)!
