Workshop Bursaries
Each year Gaada invites individuals based in Shetland to apply for a Workshop Bursary.
Bursaries can be used to explore new ways of working which utilises the facilities and support of the Toogs Artist Workshop. Every bursary recipient can access:
A modest production budget
(4 x) 3-hour Workshop sessions
One-to-one support from staff to develop
and/or realise your work
Expectations
To make the best use of the Bursary’s limited timespan, it is best not arrive with a specific-project in mind. Instead bring loose ideas, past work and see what emerges in the workshop! Past examples have included:
Creating a small zine or artist book
Creating a body of new experimental works
Developing skills through processes like screen printing, etching, risography, linocut, letterpress, or book binding
Printing on the etching press.
REMEMBER - It doesn’t have to end with a Bursary! Open Access is available for Shetland Artist Members!
